Ferrymead Rotary Supports the Positive Hauora Resilience Programme at Linwood (Te Aratai) College
The Positive Hauora Resilience programme was recently instigated for year 7 and 8 students at Linwood (Te Aratai) College following a survey which showed 63% of Year 7 and 8 learners have some form of intervention - often multiple traumas, which have had a detrimental effect on their mental health, wellbeing and ability to engage in learning. Although not part of the curriculum, the programme is linked to it and is designed to provide positive education (positive psychology) with six key themes. Ferrymead Rotary is pleased to have contributed to this programme by funding the books used by students.
